Astor Media Group has been a real blessing for our museum. The website Trina and Breck have done has created a great deal more awareness for the Whitby History Museum & Children’s Centre. It has helped us broaden our reach in the community and we are planning to embark in new areas due to the extra exposure received from the website.
When we direct people to look at the website and they get back to us, they always say how impressed they were. It makes us look good! We are also looking forward to the next step in monetizing the website for fundraising activities.
It is important to the museum that we keep our web site fresh, update activities and since we don’t have the staff at the museum that are knowledgeable, Breck & Trina and their e-team do a great job for us.

Our choice in a web development firm was a bewildering experience as we had a lot of knowledge about our business but little knowledge of how to develop a web site that would reflect what we do, and no time to devote to maintaining it. We waited a long time before venturing to have a web site. Our business is seasonal and we didn’t want to attract more business than we could handle. People needed more information than we could give them on our telephone voice mail. The web site has saved us a lot of time, corrected confusion in customers and we actually can now handle more because of the time we save explaining things over and over. In our first season with a website, we managed to overcome a sudden road blockage and redirect customers, and we sold out of blueberry ice cream early! Even photographs taken near the end of the season of our Appleberries Café specials created requests, as people looked up the website before coming.
